Sommelier

Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organisations for a variety of functions.

  • Greet and serve our Members and their guests in a professional manner
  • Recommend to members the best possible and suitable wines to complement the food
  • Creating and updating the wine list in coordination with executive chef and restaurant manager
  • Manage wine inventory and storage issue

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in prestigious hotels or restaurants with 2 years in a same position, plus Broad knowledge of tableside service, food, wine, beer, and liquor
  • Accredited international wine master certification
  • Minimum of  Advance WSET and or Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommelier
  • Good knowledge of all products and specifications (vintages, grape varietals, correct blends, pricing)
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts and team members
  • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
