Over the years, members’ experiences have been continuously developed at the Club’s four Clubhouses in Happy Valley, Sha Tin, Beas River in Sheung Shui and Beijing and two Racecourses (Happy Valley and Sha Tin).
Adding to these membership venues will be the New Clubhouse in Happy Valley which, together with the Old Clubhouse, will create The Hilltop in the Valley. Slated to open in 2020, the quality addition will turn an exciting page in our quest for well-curated experiences for our members.
EXTRAORDINARY ME
EXTRAORDINARY TEAM
A shared passion for excellence is what distinguishes the extraordinary team at The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
To enable our dedicated colleagues to give their best, we cherish and believe in the potential of every individual. Our core belief of “Extraordinary Me, Extraordinary Team” is about the fulfillment of one’s potential and also key to our success.
OUR BENEFITS
The Club offers its staff the chance to be extraordinary, to strive to always be better – personally, professionally and in society.
Well-being and Benefits
We offer benefits that cater to the needs of our colleagues and their families. Our Corporate Wellness Programme promotes physical and mental well-being of colleagues through various activities.
Learning and Development
We provide learning and development opportunities that match the needs of our colleagues. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Membership Hospitality Academy enables continuous development of people capability and it has established a talent pool for the Membership Division. The Membership Chef Talent Development Program offers junior chefs opportunities to learn from head chefs through on-the-job training, shadowing, classroom learning, offsite experiential learning and more.
Teamwork and Connections
We provide colleagues with opportunities to make personal progress and form long-term relationships with the Club and colleagues of different job roles and ranks. For example, Club of Excellence is a staff recognition programme that recognizes good work through awards and the sharing of success stories. Plenty of opportunities are also in place for colleagues from different departments to exchange experience and strengthen connections. Colleagues can also benefit from an external network of professionals from the culinary and hospitality industries.
Community Impact
Serving the Community is one of the Club’s core values. Therefore, we encourage our colleagues to serve the community through participation in the CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team. To help create a greener, better Hong Kong for future generations, we adopt environment-friendly practices in our daily operation.
