• The Prix de Diane, run at Chantilly in France and sometimes referred to as the French Oaks, has been the best recent trial for the Nassau Stakes, providing two winners and one third-placed horse from just five runners.


• The 2022 Nassau winner NASHWA, who was also second in the 2023 renewal, won both races in the same season, following in the footsteps of FANCY BLUE who did the same in 2020.


• The 2024 renewal of the Prix de Diane was won by SPARKLING PLENTY, who beat SURVIE by a head after coming from the rear of the field.

Coronation Stakes (21 Jun 2024)

• It was not a common pratice for horses participating both in Coronation Stakes and Nassau Stakes in recent years. The last one achieved Coronation Stakes and Nassau Stakes double was WINTER in 2017.


• Despite the possible absence of Coronation Stakes winner PORTA FORTUNA in the Nassau Stakes, the 1st runner up OPERA SINGER has already targeted at this race.


• ELMALKA, who ran 4th in the Coronation Stakes and won the 2000 Guineas, is another runner that needs to pay extra attention.
