ROYAL ASCOT

The historical Royal Ascot meeting has been an official Royal appointment since its inception in 1825. This most iconic 5 days UK racing carnival, will be held from 20 to 24 June this year. There are a total of 35 races, with eight world renowned Group 1 races, including King's Stand Stakes, Prince of Wales's Stakes, Gold Cup, Commonwealth Cup, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, etc., attracting top international horses over the world.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s first World Pool event took place at Royal Ascot in 2019 by gathering bets from different countries or regions for pool liquidity, stability and smaller fluctuations in odds. In 2022 Royal Ascot, a total of HK$1.76 billion in turnover was bet into the World Pool.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) announced that it has renewed a five-year World Pool partnership agreement with Ascot Racecourse to continue to promote racing as a global sport, will run from 1 July, 2023 until 2028. The agreement will cover the commingling of bets into the World Pool as well as an integrity feed and other information which the HKJC will be permitted to transmit at its racecourses and betting outlets in Hong Kong, or re-transmit to television and radio broadcasters as well as mobile phone operators.
