- Aidan O’Brien holds the record for the most wins in the race, winning it eight times in his career, and is likely to send KYPRIOS to try and extend that feat to nine.
- The 2022 champion had a troubled 2023 campaign due to injury but has had a smooth prep this year with wins in the Saval Beg Stakes and Vintage Crop Stakes, both recognised stepping stones to the Gold Cup.
