CITY OF TROY won the 2023 Dewhurst Stakes.

The Dewhurst Stakes has been the best juvenile trial for the British Classics with six winners since 2005 winning either the 2000 Guineas or the Derby Stakes. Doncaster’s Futurity Trophy has seen four horses go on to win the Guineas since 2011 and one, CAMELOT, also won the Derby - as did AUGUSTE RODIN, but he was beaten at Newmarket.

The 2023 Dewhurst Stakes was won by CITY OF TROY and ANCIENT WISDOM won the Futurity Trophy.
