Australian Spring Racing

Spring in Australia is a huge time for racing on and off the track, with Melbourne and Sydney taking centre stage at various times. With the warmth of the sun then on people’s backs, the Carnivals have been extended in recent years now ending in mid-November with G1s on every weekend up to that time. From the history of the Melbourne Cup beginning in 1861 through to the evolution of events such as The Everest, racing has been transformed and exciting developments are occurring with regularity. Just in the last 20 years on the track, we’ve seen three all-time greats perform at extraordinary levels in some of these races. MAKYBE DIVA, BLACK CAVIAR and WINX have really made it a time for the females.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club will simulcast six meetings of the Australian Spring Racing including Turnbull Stakes Day (7 Oct), The Everest Day (14 Oct), Caulfield Cup Day (21 Oct), Cox Plate Day (28 Oct), Victoria Derby Day (4 Nov) and Melbourne Cup Day (7 Nov). Will we see even more great stories arise from Flemington, Randwick, Caulfield and Moonee Valley in 2023?

World Pool will be offered for selected meetings, including Turnbull Stakes Day, The Everest Day, Caulfield Cup Day, Cox Plate Day and Victoria Derby Day. By gathering bets from different countries or regions, it adds liquidity, stability and smaller fluctuations in odds.
