Victoria Derby Day is often one when many from around the land and also from overseas congregate for their yearly vigil to Flemington. The Chris Waller-trained RIFF ROCKET has taken out the G1 $2 million Victoria Derby ridden by champion jockey James McDonald. After disappointing in the Caulfield Classic, the 3YO gelding got the win by 0.1 length in a thrilling finish.
