HELIOS EXPRESS

The Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare & Biosecurity Policy have advised that HELIOS EXPRESS, which is entered to run in the BMW Hong Kong Derby, was on 12 March 2024, found to have a mild infection in the right fore foot associated with a previous hoof wall quarter crack.  The horse is currently under veterinary and farrier management and was examined by the Department of Veterinary Regulation, Welfare & Biosecurity Policy this morning and reported to be sound and able to return to normal training with continued monitoring.

Trainer J Size has informed Stewards that as a result of the mild infection HELIOS EXPRESS has missed two days work on Tuesday, 12 March 2024 and Wednesday, 13 March 2024, but has now been able to resume trackwork.  Mr Size said he will continue to monitor HELIOS EXPRESS, but at this point in time the horse has responded well to veterinary and farrier treatment, and will continue to be aimed at running in the BMW Hong Kong Derby.

CALIFORNIA VOCE
