The HK$26 million BMW Hong Kong Derby (2000m) is Hong Kong racing’s ultimate prize and it represents the third and final leg of the Four-Year-Old Classic Series.

The once-in-a-lifetime challenge takes place this Sunday (24 March) at Sha Tin Racecourse, staging a supreme test for Hong Kong's rising stars. Admission to Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses commences at 10.45am with the first race scheduled for 12.45pm. The BMW Hong Kong Derby is run on turf over 2000 metres as Race 7 at 4.15pm.

The BMW Hong Kong Derby meeting features an array of special promotions and programmes for racegoers, including a free souvenir, live performance, Derby Challenge, a display of the latest BMW cars and culinary delights.

Derby souvenir cap upon admission

Racecourse entrants* will receive a BMW Hong Kong Derby Cap on admission to the racecourses (Sha Tin and Happy Valley) before 3.30pm, while stocks last. Additionally, racecourse entrants can scan the cap’s QR code before 6pm to enter a lucky draw^ for prizes including smartphones.

Derby Ambassador Donnie Yen

International movie star Donnie Yen will be at Sha Tin Racecourse as a returning Derby Ambassador. He will also present souvenirs to the winning connections at the trophy presentation ceremony.

Snapshots with BMW cars

The title sponsor, BMW Concessionaires (HK) Ltd, will exhibit the latest BMW models in the Parade Ring and Public Forecourt at Sha Tin Racecourse. Fans of slick cars are welcome to snap photos and check out the latest collections.

Derby Challenge

Featuring a real-time Q&A, participants will get a chance to win vouchers of total value up to HK$30,000.

Derby eSport Training Contest

Participants can earn e-stamps by playing the games and win prizes after collecting a designated number of points, while stocks last.

Culinary delights

A variety of food options will be available at Kiosk 2, Sha Tin Racecourse.
