The Stewards have approved an application submitted by Mr P C Ng, the trainer of last start winner GALAXY PATCH, to remove Blinkers and to apply Visors to the gear carried by that horse in the stated race.
The Stewards interviewed Mr Ng who advised that Jockey James McDonald, who rode GALAXY PATCH to win THE BOCHK PRIVATE WEALTH JOCKEY CLUB MILE at Sha Tin on 23 November 2025, reported the horse became unbalanced and lost ground when reluctant to hold its position rounding the turn near the 750M and the horse also lacked concentration after improving to the lead in the Home Straight.
Mr Ng said that he removed the Blinkers and applied Visors in its barrier trial on 4 December 2025, when ridden by Jockey James McDonald. Both Jockey McDonald and Mr Ng were satisfied that the change of gear will improve the horse’s racing manners and improve its focus during the race.
