LONGINES Hong Kong Vase

Los Angeles

Los Angeles has an easy workout on the all-weather track, clocking 28.8s, 29.3s and 28.6s (1m 26.7s) for 1200m.

Trainer Aidan O’Brien said: “Everyone seems very happy with everything, the horses travelled over well and have had a canter on the dirt and the grass this week. It's so far, so good. Both of them are drawn wide but hopefully they'll run good races.”

Urban Chic

Urban Chic did a canter around the all-weather track, followed by paddock schooling.

Trainer Ryo Takei said: “He showed no signs of fatigue from his recent workout and is in very good physical condition. Although he is a bit more keyed up mentally than he was before the final gallop, this is seen in a positive light. Up until now, he had been unusually calm for a horse like him, so this change is taken as a sign that he is shifting into racing mode.”
