Generational talent who broke Sacred Kingdom’s 1200m track record set in 2007 at Sha Tin in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) by 0.07s last start. Crowned Champion Griffin and the Most Improved Horse in 2023/24. Showed plenty of early promise when winning five races from seven starts in his debut season, including the G3 Sha Tin Vase (1200m). Won the Class 1 HKSAR Chief Executive’s Cup (1200m) first-up before smashing his opponents in the G2 Premier Bowl (1200m). No ground concerns and his ceiling is far from reached. Is now an eight-time winner from 10 starts.

Champion Sprinter in 2023/24. One of Hong Kong’s current stars with an outstanding strike rate. Winner of the 2022 G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile (1600m) over Golden Sixty. Won the 2023 G2 Chairman’s Trophy (1600m) and closed that season with a gallant third in the 2023 G1 FWD Champions Mile (1600m). Made immediate impact last term by scoring an all-the-way win in the 2023 G2 Sha Tin Trophy (1600m) before losing form. Stepped back in trip and has improved out of sight, winning the 2024 G1 Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup (1400m) and 2024 G1 Al Quoz Sprint (1200m), both under Brenton Avdulla. Fine effort first-up for third behind Ka Ying Rising in the G2 Premier Bowl (1200m) carrying 135lb before finishing eighth in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Likes to lead and does his best racing there.

Smashing G1 Sprinters Stakes (1200m) last September over Toshin Macau when returning following a setback. Serious talent who shouldn’t be underestimated. Two runs ago finished 10th on rain affected ground in last march’s G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen (1200m) after winning the G3 Silk Road Stakes (1200m) on sounder surface. Races prominently. Preferred on good-firm ground but did win on a soft rated track last year.

Classy winner of the 2024 G1 Centenary Sprint Cup (1200m) in January before finishing a brave third in the G1 Takamatsunomiya Kinen (1200m) last March. Five-time winner in his debut season, each over 1200m, and finished a solid second to Lucky Sweynesse in the 2023 G3 Sha Tin Vase (1200m). Made all first-up in the 2023 Class 1 HKSAR Chief Executive’s Cup (1200m) over Lucky Sweynesse under a light weight. Finished second in the 2023 G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) before finishing fourth in the 2023 G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) in December. Sixth in the G1 Sprinters Stakes (1200m) behind Lugal before finishing seventh in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) last start. Likes to lead. Has won in the wet and on good ground.

Group 1 winner with four wins, three seconds and three thirds from 16 starts in Hong Kong. Showed early promise in Hong Kong and further improved in his second season, scoring a hat-trick of wins in his first three runs last season before placing second to Whizz Kid in the 2024 G3 Bauhinia Sprint Trophy (1000m). Achieved his career-best win in the 2024 G1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m) in April on yielding. Fair run when fifth behind Ka Ying Rising in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Versatile. No ground concerns and perhaps thrives rain affected ground.

Unbeaten with four wins from four starts in 2021/22. Good efforts in Group races after winning in a Class 1 1200m race last term, including a gallant fourth to stablemate Invincible Sage in the G1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize (1200m) in April and second to Ka Ying Rising in the G3 Sha Tin Vase (1200m) last June. Unplaced in his four runs this season, including ninth in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Hold up runner. Best on Good ground.

Charged late along the rails to claim the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (1000m) at Del Mar in November after striking severe interference when unplaced in the G1 Prix de l’Abbaye de Longchamp (1000m) at Longchamp. Raced consistently all year and well accustomed to travelling. Bulk of recent racing has been at 1000m but had sound 1200m form earlier in career. Boasts six wins from 18 starts. Can race close and generally ground versatile.

Finished hard along the fence when runner-up to Lugal in Nakayama’s G1 Sprinters Stakes (1200m) in September. Won his three previous 1200m races on turf. Settled back and wide from gate 17 when he won the G2 Centaur Stakes (1200m) earlier in September at his first run after a break. Best form on good ground. Likely to settle midfield or worse.

Shapes as a rising star among Japan’s sprinting ranks. Beaten by Lugal in the G1 Sprinters Stakes (1200m) in September, but was the winner of three previous starts and has won seven of his ten career starts – all in Japan. Those three straight wins came at Group 3 (twice) and Listed level when ridden more prominently to be parked just behind the leaders. Does have a good turn of foot. Bulk of his racing and best form has been on good ground but has performed satisfactorily in two runs on yielding tracks. Pending the draw, he is expected to settle handy to midfield.

Ridden off speed and finished well when first home far side but third overall to Way To The Stars in the Listed Century Stakes (1000m) at Flemington. Failed to threaten in the G1 Manikato Stakes (1200m) but has good strike rate at the distance and good winning form racing right-handed earlier across his career. Capable on all track conditions and while usually races handy to the speed, he is tactically versatile. Unplaced but did prove very competitive in two Group 1 attempts.

Made an immediate impact in Hong Kong with early victory. Improved further with three more wins but failed to handle the step up in trip in the 2022 Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m). Surprised at decent odds to finish second behind Lucky Sweynesse in the 2023 G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint (1200m) in December before finishing second in the 2024 G1 Centenary Sprint Cup (1200m). Fair fifth in the G2 Premier Bowl (1200m) two starts back and ran sixth in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint latest. Has ability and can be a threat at this level. Best form seen on good ground.

Hong Kong Champion Griffin in 2022/23. Had a busy three-year-old campaign but finished his debut season with four wins from 12 starts. Ran well last term for one win, one second and three thirds against very strong opposition and has proven remarkably consistent across his career. Stepped up to a mile in the 2024 Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m), however, struggled and was subsequently returned to sprinting, winning in Class 2. Finished a surprise second behind Ka Ying Rising in the 2024 G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Versatile. Best seen on good ground.

Won his only start pre-import in Australia as a two-year-old before making an immediate impact in Hong Kong, winning twice from three starts over 1200m in 2022/23 season. Improved as a four-year-old last term winning the Hong Kong Classic Mile (1600m) and Hong Kong Classic Cup (1800m) to complete a hat-trick of wins before finishing eighth behind Massive Sovereign in the BMW Hong Kong Derby (2000m) last March. Flashed home for second behind Ka Ying Rising in the G2 Premier Bowl (1200m) two starts back. Ran a creditable third behind Ka Ying Rising in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Won on good ground in Hong Kong but was victorious on a rain affected surface in Australia.

Never worse than fifth across 14 starts in Hong Kong. Raced as Starspangledwaves in Ireland and won a 1000m contest on the polytrack at Dundalk pre-import. Improved each start in Hong Kong and claimed the G3 National Day Cup (1000m) three starts back. Finished a creditable fourth in the G2 Premier Bowl (1200m) before another solid performance when fourth behind Ka Ying Rising in the G2 BOCHK Private Banking Jockey Club Sprint (1200m) latest. Races handily and versatile. No ground worries.
