Hong Kong is renowned among sports fans its world-class racing excellence, and the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races is the city’s flagship annual event. Bringing together top horses and jockeys from around the globe, the LONGINES HKIR have become widely recognised as the Turf World Championships since their beginnings in 1988.
Featuring four Group One races in a single day at Sha Tin Racecourse – the LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint, LONGINES Hong Kong Mile, LONGINES Hong Kong Cup, and LONGINES Hong Kong Vase – the Turf World Championships offer a total cash prize of HK$110 million.

Get warmed up with spectacular performance at the opening variety show, where renowned singer Hacken Lee and a hypnotic drum performance from local troupe Gekko Taiko will provide a pulsating prelude to the races!
Opening Ceremony

The Hong Kong Police Band will get the day’s action under way by performing the Chinese National Anthem after Race 2.
Closing Pyrotechnic Show
