Track work – The FWD Champions Day 2024 (Update)

- The FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile & Chairman’s Sprint Prize Track Work Time-table - The attached track work schedule will become effective from Saturday, 20 April until Sunday, 28 April 2024.
- The track opens 4:45am for local horses.
- The large & small track closes for harrowing at 6:15am.
- The large & small track closes at 8:30am.
- The bridle path and the trotting rings close at 8:30am.
- The Olympic Equine Pool and trotting ring closes at 8:30am except 22 and 26 April.
- Barrier trials (22 & 26 April) on the All Weather Track commence 8:15am (gate close at 8:00am). Only 1200M trials will be offered and the trials will be limited to 3 batches on 26 April.
- Monday & Thursday stalls tests (22 & 25 April) will be held at 7:30am.
- 1800M Jump-outs opens between 7:00am to 8:00am:
Thursday, 25 April restricted to horses entered for Sunday, 28 April race meeting, FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile & Chairman’s Sprint Prize runners (quota not included) - RTTC horses will not be admitted for grass works at the 1800 M Jump-outs on 22 & 25 April.
- Afternoon gate practice and education inside the trotting ring paddock will not be available on Friday, 26 April.
- Grass Gallops
- Local horses competing in the FWD QEII Cup, FWD Champions Mile and Chairman’s Sprint Prize can three times on the grass track accompanied by one additional horse from Friday, 19 April until Saturday, 27 April inclusive. The grass track will be opened between 6:00am-7:00am, booking is required.
- Other Overseas horses can gallop three times on the grass, from Saturday, 20 April until Saturday, 27 April, upon completion of local horses work.
