KA YING RISING - Zac Purton
“What more can you say? Every time you come out here, he produces something special and he did that again today and he didn't even change his leg. He puts them away very quickly. I applaud the Japanese. They're willing to travel and willing to take anyone around the world on, so you've got to give them credit for doing that, but they were only second fiddle against him today. He's getting better and better. He can have a break now and the next one is the big one. The race panned out really well. He began well and I was able to just pop him into a lovely spot with the way the race was unfolding. I just kept it uncomplicated and let him do his thing. Once again, he was brilliant. He's had a long season, he's been exceptional all the way through and it's a good way to finish it. [Regarding the time] He did what he had to do. The track has got a little bit of give in it today, so he's not going to run any faster if people are looking at the clock, but he's run a lot quicker than the other horses today.”
SATONO REVE - Joao Moreira
“That was a brilliant run, we just bumped into probably the best sprinter in the world. He was able to hold on for second place and I just couldn’t be any happier with how he performed.”
HELIOS EXPRESS - Hugh Bowman
“I think that was his best run of the preparation. He only managed third but he’s going great.”
INVINCIBLE SAGE - Matthew Poon
“I’m really happy. He ran really well. I think we tried our best.”
LUGAL - Yuga Kawada
“It was a good step up and a good run.”
LUCKY SWEYNESSE - James McDonald
“It was a really good return and he’ll benefit from the run.”
MAGIC CONTROL - Christophe Soumillon
“He jumped very well out of the gates and he was very happy at the front. I think he’s better over shorter.”
COPARTNER PRANCE - James Orman
“He just raced a little bit flat early from the back-up the other day, but he boxed on quite gamely.”
VICTOR THE WINNER - Karis Teetan
“He had every chance.”
BEAUTY WAVES - Andrea Atzeni
“He was too keen mid-race.”
LUCKY WITH YOU - Luke Ferraris
“I didn’t get the best of runs. We got smashed at the 800m and didn’t really travel too well after that.”
A SHIN FENCER - Craig Williams
“She was able to utilise the barrier to get inside the favourite and eventual winner. We came out to look for clear running in the straight when I asked her to press on after a quick tempo."
DANON MCKINLEY - Damian Lane
“He had a bleed so there’s excuses there.”
