Terms & Conditions

1. By participating in the lucky draw (“Lucky Draw”), you are deemed to have understood, accepted and agreed with all of the terms and conditions set out below and undertake to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the course of participating in this Lucky Draw. To participate in this Lucky Draw, participant(s) shall fill in the online form on the designated website of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the “Club”) and successfully submit the completed form, and the participant shall bear his/her own costs for or in connection with the participation in this Lucky Draw and/or any related matters.
2. All participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid Identity Card or travel document. All participants are required to provide a valid mobile number (for purposes including but not limited to prize notifications), their full name in English as it appears on their Identity Card or travel document, and alphabet and the first three digits of their Hong Kong Identity Card (or the last four digits/letters of their travel document, if applicable) in order to enter the Lucky Draw. Prize winners must present their valid Identity Card or travel document for verification when collecting their prizes.
3. Each participant is eligible to win only one prize.
4. Staff members of the Club are not allowed to participate in the Lucky Draw.
5. Operation Arrangements for Participation and Prize Redemption
   1. Each person must first successfully complete and submit the online form and each mobile number is only allowed to participate in the Lucky Draw once, and any multiple entries (regardless of the form) will not be counted.
   2. The completion of the online form registration period for the Lucky Draw will be from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM on April 27, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
   3. The Lucky Draw will be conducted on April 27, 2025, all winners will be randomly drawn together by computer system.
   4. Winners will be informed by SMS notifications / phone calls at or before 5:00pm on April 27, 2025. The Club will contact the winners through the registered mobile number, please ensure the provided information is accurate and complete.
   5. To redeem the prize, the successful registered winner must redeem in person at Sha Tin Racecourse Concourse on or before 6:30pm on April 27, 2025 by presenting a valid Identity Card or travel document and the winning notification SMS. Late redemption will not be accepted and the prize will be forfeited. Under no circumstances can winners claim any compensation from the Club.
   6. All prize winners are required to present their valid Identity Card or travel document and the winning notification SMS in person for verification of winners’ identity and mobile number and prize redemption purposes upon prize collection. Redemption by delegates is not allowed.
   7. The Club shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from failure or delay in transmission of the SMS notification for prize redemption. The record of sending the SMS notification (whether by the Club or its service provider) to winners shall constitute a valid proof of successful transmission.
6. Proof of dispatch of the Lucky Draw registration by the participant cannot be accepted as proof of submission of any entry. The Club does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control, or any other loss howsoever caused.
7. The list of winners of the Lucky Draw will be announced on May 2, 2025 on the Club’s website http://www.hkjc.com/r/ChampionsDay-lucky-draw, in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard. The announcement will be made for fulfilment of duty owed by licensee of Trade Promotion Competition Licence only, and shall in no event indicate or suggest any second round of the Lucky Draw or any re-draw.
8. This activity and its content (except the lucky draw) are subject to change and/or cancellation due to force majeure events (e.g. adverse weather condition, Government order or laws or regulations), in which case, the Club shall in no event be liable to any person, and no compensation in any form will be given.
9. Prizes and/or SMS text messages cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
10. The Club reserves the right to use any recorded footages and/or photos of winners for promotional and/or record purpose of this game (including without limitation, organisation of any other activity in connection with this Lucky Draw and/or the subject matter thereof).
11. All participants confirm that they have read and understood the Club’s Privacy Policy Statement at http://www.hkjc.com/english/corporate/corp_privacy.asp, and further agrees that the Club may use his/her personal data (a) in the course of and/or for the purpose of the Lucky Draw, (b) for publishing the results of the Lucky Draw in the notice as specified in Clause 5 above; and (c) for the purpose of market analysis.
12. With the participant’s indication of consent and/or no objection as indicated in the registration form, the Club may use the personal data provided for direct marketing purposes as specified in the Privacy Policy Statement. Participants may, at any time, request access to and/or correct his/her personal data or opt-out without charge from receiving further direct marketing communications. Request for access and correction or notification for opt-out should be in writing and in accordance with the Club’s Privacy Policy Statement.
13. The Club is not the supplier of certain prizes awarded in the Lucky Draw and will not be held responsible for the prizes or their quality. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Club disclaims any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, death, or personal injury arising from or related to the use or enjoyment of any prizes. The winner’s use and enjoyment of any prize are subject to the applicable terms and conditions. Any disputes arising from the use or enjoyment of the prizes must be resolved directly between the winner and the supplier, for which the Club accepts no responsibility or liability. Additionally, the actual appearance or color of the prizes may differ from what is depicted in the photos, except in the case of Prize 3 and Prize 8, where HKJC is the supplier of certain prizes.
14. Entrants must take care of and be responsible for their own personal belongings and safety. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Club shall not be responsible for or pay any compensation for the loss or damage to any property, nor for any injury or death sustained by entrants.
15. The Lucky Draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Each participant is fully responsible for ensuring that his or her participating in the Lucky Draw is lawful in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Club shall not be taken to make any representations, express or implied, as to the lawfulness of any participation. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Club shall be final.
16. Both the participants and the Club agree and acknowledge that (1) they do not intend any term of these Terms and Conditions to be enforceable by any third party pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap 623); and (2) these Terms and Conditions shall be excluded from the application of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance.
17. These Terms and Conditions are drafted in English and translated into Chinese and are available on the Club’s website http://www.hkjc.com/r/ChampionsDay-lucky-draw. In registering for the Lucky Draw, each participant acknowledges and agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms and Conditions and that he/she is fully aware of the rights and obligations arising therefrom. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the English version shall prevail.
