The HK$13 million Hong Kong Classic Mile is typically a fierce contest, as was the case in 2022 when the first two places were captured by Hong Kong International Sale graduate Romantic Warrior and California Spangle, trained by Danny Shum and Tony Cruz, respectively.

Last year the Ricky Yiu-trained Voyage Bubble made all tenaciously to win the Hong Kong Classic Mile with jockey Jamie Kah.

This is the first and shortest race in the Four-Year-Old Classic Series. Owners and trainers alike are keen to see their horses prove successful in the hope of sealing a coveted place in the BMW Hong Kong Derby.
