The Hong Kong Jockey Club has withdrawn five horses from Friday’s (7 March) Hong Kong International Sale. Following extensive veterinary examinations, the five horses recommended for withdrawal are Lots 3, 13, 19, 20 and 21.

The withdrawn horses will be sent to Conghua Racecourse for a period of time to take advantage of the world-class spelling, rehabilitation and training facilities and will be further assessed by Club veterinarians at a later date for possible sale by tender.

The Club is committed to the best possible offering for owners and all horses in tomorrow night’s Hong Kong International Sale have undergone thorough screening at various stages, ensuring only those suitable for sale at this point in time are made available for auction.

This leaves 16 horses in the 2025 Hong Kong International Sale, which starts at 6.30pm on Friday in the Parade Ring at Sha Tin.

The five lots withdrawn today are:

Lot 3   Deep Field, 3-year-old gelding
Lot 13   Invincible Spirit, 3-year-old gelding
Lot 19   Mehmas, 3-year-old gelding
Lot 20   Capitalist, 3-year-old gelding
Lot 21   Per Incanto, 3-year-old gelding
