The voting for this year’s ‘Most Popular’ titles has reached its halfway point and according to the standings so far – based on the votes as of Thursday, 7 July (11.59pm) – Zac Purton is holding an early lead in the Most Popular Jockey race by 3.4% over Joao Moreira, while Golden Sixty (69.8%) easily outnumbers his opponents as Hong Kong’s Most Popular Horse.

The 2021/22 “Most Popular Horse and Jockey” nominees are as follows. Public voting will run until 11.59pm on Wednesday, 13 July at www.hkjc.com/MPHJ.

#Voters can choose “Others” and fill in the unlisted horse or jockey name(s) provided that the nominated horse or jockey competed during the 2021/22 season.

The results will be announced at the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Champion Awards 2021/22 presentation ceremony, held on Friday, 15 July. The ceremony will be livestreamed via the Club’s online platforms including the Hong Kong Jockey Club Website, HKJC Racing Facebook Page, HKJC Racing Sports Facebook Page, HKJC YouTube Channel, HKJC Racing Twitter and the HKJC TV App.
