There’s more to racing than just the races! Arrive early and kick off a day of excitement at the Variety Show! The BMW Hong Kong Derby starts with rising star singer Gin Lee’s energetic live performance to welcome the four-year-old elite horses to the track. Feel the lively spirit and excitement these young stars of the stage and of the racetrack bring to the event as they enter the Derby together for the first time!
Meet the Derby Ambassador
Join Donnie Yen in welcoming the freshest galloping warriors to the Sha Tin Racecourse! These four-year-old racers may be young in years, but their fighting skills are not to be underestimated, much like our international movie star event ambassador. Clap and cheer as the horses compete in battle for glory!

Enjoy Live Music
Apart from the races, live performances will also take place at the Public Forecourt. Move to the beat as the races begin! These performances will transform your Derby races into a once-in-a-life-time experience!

All entrants to BMW Hong Kong Derby before 3:30pm will be gifted a designated “Derby Cap” upon admission, the perfect accessory to help racing fans cheer on the horses and jockeys.
