Toshin Macau, with Akira Sugawara on board, won the G2 Centaur Stakes at Chukyo Racecourse. Mama Cocha finished second, a half-length behind the winner, and Mozu Meimei came home third, 3/4 lengths behind Mama Cocha. Sent off favourite, Puro Magic finished a disappointing 13th. The winning time was 1:07.7.

Toshin Macau is a son of Big Arthur out of Yukino Mermaid, by Special Week. This is his fourth graded stakes title and the victory earned him an entry spot in the G1 Sprinters Stakes.
