Our opening day guest will perform the ceremonial dotting of the lion’s eyes and strike the lucky gong in the Parade Ring. Your favourite jockeys will be there to greet fans and wish everyone a successful racing season.

Every stable is keen to start a lucky new season with a win on the Season Opening Day. Their top target will undoubtedly be the HKSAR Chief Executive’s Cup. Last year, Tony Cruz-trained Winner’s Way won the season’s first feature race. Who will triumph in this year’s keenly-contested race? Keep your eyes peeled!

Gong formation sets representing good wishes of wealth, luck and popularity will be set up at Sha Tin on the day. Racegoers can strike lucky for the new season.
