The Competition
DBS and Manulife continuing to sponsor Million Challenge this season.
DBS x Manulife Million Challenge is for runners of all Class 3 or above races and commenced on 13 September, 2023 at Happy Valley. The series will be concluded on 21 February, 2024 and the Owners of the three horses with the most accumulated points will share a bonus of HK$1.5 million, with the overall winner receiving HK$1,000,000
The Award
When the Competition concludes at the Happy Valley meeting on 21 February, 2024, a total bonus of HK$1,500,000 will be awarded to the Owners of the three horses with the highest accumulated points.
In the event of any horses sharing equal points, the horse which has the most number of higher point earning placings will receive the bonus as indicated. If the ranking still cannot be decided after applying these conditions, the Owners of the horses involved will equally share the appropriate bonuses.

Points System
The horses finished in the first four placings in each race will be given points according to the following system:
In case of dead heats in any of the first four placings, points will be added and divided by the number of horses involved and these apportioned points are given to each horse concerned.

Entries
All horses entered for the Class 3 or above races from 13 September, 2023 - 21 February, 2024 at Happy Valley will automatically participate in the Competition. In case of excessive entries, the usual balloting procedures will apply.
However, for the Final Four Happy Valley meetings of this competition, priority to run will be given to the Ten Leading Contenders in the DBS x Manulife Million Challenge , regardless of their entry status. If the number of Ten Leading Contenders exceeds the maximum field size, priority will be given to those Contenders with a higher ranking order. Balloting will take place for Contenders with the same ranking order.
The list of the Ten Leading Contenders will be published after each Happy Valley meeting.
Note: In the event of disputes, the decisions of the Stewards of the Hong Kong Jockey Club shall be final.
